"You made this process as easy as possible for me and I truly am grateful for your very fine work on our new building. I cannot thank you enough for giving us something even better than we’d hoped for."

The State of Idaho retained McAlvain Construction and ZGA as their design/build team to program, design and provide construction administration services for the new Nursing and Health Sciences Building on the Lewis-Clark State College campus, Lewiston, Idaho.

The 60,000 sq. ft. project was completed in May of 2009 as a laboratory and classroom facility for the Nursing and Health Sciences programs. The facility includes wet laboratories that serve all of the Sciences and Nursing programs and training laboratories that simulate real-world health care environments.

The building also houses a fully functional Radiography suite with X-Ray, CT and Positioning Labs.  The project design approach incorporated sustainable and high performance concepts that resulted in a 30% reduction in overall energy usage as compared to the base case model.
