OB/GYN Associates selected ZGA to provide planning, design, and construction administration services for their 11,463 sq. ft. clinic and office facility on a 1.22 acre site in Meridian, Idaho. All primary functions of the practice are located on the first floor with the second floor reserved for mechanical and technology support space.
The facility includes patient reception areas, examination rooms, imaging suites, diagnostic laboratories, and support spaces comprised of fifteen exam rooms, two special procedure rooms, one lab, one ultrasound room, three nurse stations, waiting, play area, and support spaces. The craftsman style facility has been designed for future expansion that will accommodate five more examination rooms, one nurse station, and additional support space.
Both the design and palette responded to the client’s expectations and the facility’s purpose with design features that include natural day lighting and a comfortable scale that is residential – not institutional. In addition, the site considerations included a tight, oddly shaped parcel with generous landscape easements from the developer
