The new 2 story, 120,000 sq. ft., $22 million state-of-the-art healthcare facility, in the rapidly developing community of Eagle; provides an urgent care, medical imaging, laboratory, outpatient surgery, medical office, and various support functions.
ZGA has worked for St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center for over 18 years and was retained to program, master plan, design, and provide construction administration services.
The project has met with overwhelming approval by the City as well as neighboring property owners for its “Prairie School” architectural style and earth tone color palette of stone, brick, stucco, copper, and bronze tinted windows.
The project is taking advantage of many “green building and sustainable design” principles including site planning to respond to prevailing winds, views and solar access, developing therapeutic outdoor spaces, water efficient landscaping; the use of day-lighting in its many forms to create a healing environment for patients and a better working environment for physicians and staff; increased building insulation; the use of low VOC and post-consumer/post-industrial recycled content materials, water efficient plumbing fixtures, energy efficient HVAC and lighting systems.
